Asthma Clinic
It is important that all patients with asthma have annual check-ups so that their condition can be monitored and their treatment adjusted where necessary. We will send you out a questionnaire each year to assess your asthma. Depending on your responses, you may be asked to come in for an appointment or one of our team may contact you over the phone to discuss.
If you are having trouble with your asthma but do not think you need an appointment at the practice, we can often give you advice over the phone. You can either book a telephone consultation with one of our doctors, or speak to one of our nurses in the clinic.
For more information, please visit the Asthma UK website.
Cancer Care
With increasing numbers of people surviving their Cancer diagnosis, primary care has an important role in supporting people to live well with and beyond cancer. The Cancer Care Review (CCR) is a conversation between a person and their GP or Practice Nurse about their cancer journey.
You may be invited into this clinic, or you can request an appointment through Engage Consult
It is essential to personalised care (www.macmillan.org.uk – personalised care for people living with cancer) and it is an opportunity for people to;
- Talk about their cancer experience and concerns.
- Understand what support is available in their community.
- Receive the information they need to begin supported self management.
You will be invited to undertake a short holistic needs assessment to facilitate this process, so that you can inform us of how your cancer is affecting each aspect of your life and how best we can support you.
For More information see: Cancer Care
Cervical Screening
We offer cervical screening to all eligible patients who receive an NHS invitation. Cervical screening is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer.
Your appointment will be conducted by a trained female nurse. If you’re due for your screening, you can easily book an appointment through our patient services team.
If you have any questions, concerns, or simply want to discuss your cervical screening, please don’t hesitate to contact us to schedule a consultation.

Contraceptive Services
We offer a comprehensive family planning service. Our nurses are trained and experienced in family planning procedures. Sometimes contraceptive advice can be given by phone and please book a telephone consultation with a nurse if you think that is appropriate.
Emergency contraception (morning after pill)
If you need emergency contraception please make this clear to us and a healthcare professional will contact you on the same day. The school nurse at the local secondary school provides a limited contraceptive service to younger people. More information can be found on the NHS Website

You will receive a long term conditions review invite letter when your Diabetic check is due which will be during your birth month.
