Ear Wax Removal / Syringing
Self Treatment for a build-up of ear wax is often safe and effective. Please read and follow the guidance in our self-treatment page. Alternative options to self-treatment are:
- Referral to Ear Clinic at John Radcliffe (waiting time is approximately 12-16 weeks) – if you want this then please book a routine appointment with a Health Care Assistant who can check your ears for wax and then will arrange for your GP to do the referral.
- Private wax removal services are available in Witney and surrounding area.

A support service in Oxfordshire for people with Asperger Syndrome or High-Functioning Autism. Find out more
Medical Loans
The British Red Cross Medical Loan Service can provide short term loans of items such as wheelchairs, commodes and many other items. A Deposit is usually required.
The Witney Branch loan items, from the Methodist Church in the High Street between 1.30pm and 3.30pm on Tuesdays.

Podiatry (Chiropody)
NHS and private podiatry services are available for foot health, advice and treatment. The service is available based on need, regardless of age. A doctors’ referral is necessary. Book an appointment 01993 862120

Blue Badge Information
We do not issue Blue badges from the medical practice. For more information and to see if you’re eligible and how you can apply visit the Oxfordshire Council website. Find out more
It is practice policy not to provide supporting evidence for blue badge applications, please do not ask your GP to do this. If the local council requires more information they will contact your GP direct.

Lip Reading Course
Join a Lipreading course now and get your confidence back, there will be a course not too far from your door!
Lipreading courses are subsidised directly by Oxfordshire Adult Learning and fully supported and recommended by the Audiology Department at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
