Medical Students

Supporting the Doctors of Tomorrow

Our practice is proud to support the education and training of medical students, who are the future of our healthcare system. We regularly host students from university medical programmes as part of their clinical placements in general practice.

These placements are an important part of their education, helping them build essential skills and experience under the supervision of our qualified GPs and nurses. Students speak with patients independently before the supervising GP joins or observes the consultation.

If you are happy to support student learning by offering time to talk with a student over a longer period, particularly if you have a condition or experience that may be of educational value, please let our patient services team know.

We understand that not all patients may wish to have a student involved in their care. You are welcome to decline a student’s presence during your consultation, and this will not affect the quality of care you receive in any way.

Thank you for helping us train the next generation of doctors.
