We are now extending our Engage Consult and NHS App drop-in support sessions until September 4th.

You may pop in and speak to our trained members of staff between 08:30 – 10:30 am every Monday and Wednesday until September 4th.

Please visit us if you have any questions or would like any help navigating Engage Consult or the NHS App.

You may bring in your personal devices (e.g., phone, tablet, laptop) so that we may demonstrate the new system on your own devices.

Engage Consult Same-Day Availability

We will aim to contact you within three hours of your submission through Engage Consult.

Please keep your phone and/or emails monitored after your submission so that we may contact you about your request.

We may also offer you a same-day appointment – it may be best to contact the practice on a day where you can make it into the practice for an appointment.

UPDATE (8/7/2024)

We are running a drop-in session on Saturday 13th July from 09:00 -13:00 in our waiting room to provide support with Engage Consult or the NHS App.

These drop-in sessions will be run by our digital champions in the waiting room at the Windrush Medical Practice.

Original Article (17/6/2024)

On the 1st of July, the practice will have a new appointment system in place.

Feedback from our recent patient survey has requested that we look at our appointment booking system, especially telephone waiting times, choice/booking options, and continuity with clinicians. We have listened to this feedback and have made the decision to introduce the new appointment system, Engage Consult. This will eliminate waiting on the telephone for administrative or clinical enquiries, which in turn frees the phone lines for urgent queries, home visit requests and vulnerable patients.

Please read our Patient Letter which provides more details on total triage, why we are making this change and the benefits to patients.

Engage Consult is an online form which all patients will be asked to complete. All forms will be triaged on the day, and we aim to respond from the practice via email, text or telephone call on the day of submission. Most patients will be offered an appointment on the day they submit their online consultation form. Please see FAQs to answer questions for those patients who might not be able to submit the Engage Consult form.

We will be updating this page about the Engage Consult form and planned drop-in sessions to help our patients navigate the new system. We are working with our Patient Participation Group (PPG) to gain feedback on the new system from the patient point of view by completing some software testing. Our clinicians and staff members will be working hard to support patients with this new system leading up to and after the launch on 1st July.

Please see our FAQs. We will be adding to the list of FAQs as we speak to patients, review feedback, and implement the new online system. Please read the FAQs before contacting the practice to see if your query can be answered.

We appreciate there will be lots of questions and ask you submit these through our website feedback form. Once the system is launched, we will be asking for feedback regularly. All feedback will be reviewed on a weekly basis and any changes will be published on this page.

Update (19/06/2024):

We will be providing drop-in sessions for our patients who would like to ask questions or would like help navigating our new system Engage Consult. These drop-in sessions will be run by our trained digital champions in the waiting room at the Windrush Medical Practice. Please see the dates and times below for these sessions:

  • Monday July 1st – Friday July 5th from 08:30 – 13:00 and from 14:00 – 16:30
  • Monday July 8th – Friday July 12th from 08:30 – 13:00 and from 14:00 – 16:30
  • Saturday July 13th from 09:00 – 13:00

Our digital champions will be available to help with:

  • Completing and submitting a request for an appointment via our online booking system
  • Help with questions and queries with the online booking system
  • Downloading the NHS App

We will have a laptop available for our digital champions to help patients navigate the new system.

Update (24/06/2024):

We are temporarily closing all of our online forms on our website from 2pm on Thursday June 27th.

This is to allow our staff time to review and action any outstanding forms before we make the exciting change to Engage Consult on Monday July 1st.

Our forms will reopen through Engage Consult and the NHS App from Monday July 1st.

Our phone lines will remain open during this time.
