With the change in legislation coming in on Monday 19th July, as a practice we feel that given the high rates of COVID locally, there are some measures which should remain in place at the practice.
➞ Will I still be required to wear a face shield/covering in the practice?
Yes, as a practice we feel that it is important that our patients and staff continue wearing masks.
➞ What about social distancing?
We will be maintaining the one way system through the practice and the capacity in our waiting room will remain at a reduced level.
➞ Can I book a face to face appointment?
We are seeing patients face to face, but we are still requiring all GP appointments to be telephone triaged first. This is because we feel that it would not be appropriate at this time to bring every patient in with a reduced waiting room capacity. However If your GP feels that you need to be seen you will be offered a face to face appointment.
➞ What about nurse appointments?
Our Nurses and Health Care Assistants are seeing patients face to face. Some of these appointments are bookable online but we would ask that if you develop any symptoms of COVID, you do not attend for your appointment until you have had a confirmed negative PCR test.
Many thanks for your understanding.
